Meet the face
behind the posts

I'm Dana Anderson and I'm a blogger, nature and animal lover, mama to a doggo and full-time worker.

In 2018, I had recently left University and I started to get the desire to do something a bit more than just work. I love reading and researching wellness, understanding psychology and learning more about how us humans tick, so I thought it would be fun to create a forum where I could focus in of this interest of mine and maybe help others and myself along the way. I spent countless late nights on my laptop, googling how to create a website, a blog, how to write a blog entry - you name it. Within a month, I had created my website. It went well for all of two months.

I flopped. I didn't do what I said I was going to do, I lost my discipline, my desire and my motivation. My self-doubt had creeped in and I didn't believe in myself.

I'd like to say something transformational happened - that I had an epiphany and now I'm a boss bitch with the confidence of a fresh feathered peacock. Sadly - no. I still have minutes, hours and days of doubt, but I'm aware of when it happens and I can deal with it and move on with a boss bitch attitude.

The COVID-19 pandemic hit us all hard - and many of us were thrown into a lockdown. So, I spent my days doing puzzles, getting annoyed with puzzles and ultimately throwing away puzzles. Rather than continue in that extraordinarily frustrating loop, I decided to whip out my laptop and start The Brightlife Project again from scratch - and here I am!

Anywho, I'm stoked that you're here - and I hope you enjoy the content!

What it's about

We are all on a journey through life, but our focus is often on surviving in the world, rather than living in it - and that sucks.

With the internet at our fingertips, there is never a shortage of knowledge about wellness, but applying this knowledge to our lives can be difficult.

The Brightlife Project is about discovering basic principles of wellness and mindfulness and how this can promote peace in our lives. The articles consider self-actualisation, self-love, goals, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing and overall wellness.

"The part can never be well unless the whole is well."
